The DAU Board of Visitors is composed of expert practitioners in a variety of functional areas from academia, defense industry, and government. The Board of Visitors heavily influences our strategic planning process each year. Our vision of becoming a corporate university, our increasing use of e-learning, our development of a variety of learning assets that promote career-long learning, our increased focus on rapidly training the workforce on new policy initiatives, and our reengineering of internal business systems all resulted from recommendations from the Board of Visitors. Their stakeholder perspective has been invaluable. 1b08193b-4e97-4c77-8b59-0af54f001e44 Recommandations Not Available 11ad26ff-678e-493f-bcb5-7fdef37c0bb4 Make, Accept, Implement 5c412c43-648c-4842-83ee-552a7aa1df08 cd04f9bf-0794-496d-9477-f969dea3cda3 Recommendations Made Number Defense Acquisition University Board of Visitors Department of Defense Unspecified n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 The DAU President asked for and received recommendations in three areas during 2011. As the new president of DAU, she shared her goals for the direction of the university, and asked for general guidance from the board on the university's role in developing the acquisition workforce. The board chair consolidated input from the board members and forwarded that to the president only. Reports to the USD (decision maker) assured the USD of the board's confidence that DAU is accomplishing its mission and is looking ahead to meet the future training needs of the acquisition workforce. The reports also assure that the board stands ready to continue providing advice on particulars as needed, whether in meetings or in consult. 25 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 7b1f76a1-1339-45af-8c04-3ec3fa936e5d Recommendations Fully Accepted Percentage Defense Acquisition University Board of Visitors Department of Defense For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 Few recommendations are easily implemented; many are long-term solutions to issues that evolve on a regular basis. 50 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 26b40f95-8fff-46c6-aa06-61d061e8b07c Recommendations Partially Accepted Percentage Defense Acquisition University Board of Visitors Department of Defense There are sometimes a few proposals which were not funded in their entirety, those few being scaled back from their original level of requested funding (allowable under the program). n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 Many recommendations are partially implemented because of budgetary restraints, the continual evolution of the workforce we support, and changing congressional requirements. 25 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2013-07-09 http://explore.data.gov/resource/datasets/c5i3-bb9j Gannon (J.)
