The Board supports this mission by developing recommendations regarding initiation, design, evaluation, and implementation of Federal energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, policies and technologies. Per its legislative mandate, the Board reports these recommendations directly to the Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). The recommendations are submitted to the Assistant Secretary in the form of Resolutions. These Resolutions aim to pinpoint and ensure State and local programs are working to promote energy efficiency, conservation, and are striving towards achieving overall national goals as determined by the Department of Energy. Additionally, STEAB serves as a liaison between individual States and the Department of Energy with regard to energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. In this capacity as a liaison, the Board offers a forum through which Federal, State, and local voices can be heard at the Department of Energy. STEAB has utilized a myriad of differnt avenues such as Task Forces, teleconference calls, live meetings, white-papers and working-papers to focus, meet and advise upon current and future challenges for EERE. 99ef7be4-241a-40c0-9750-84c444e6ed8a Recommandations Not Available f8d9d272-529c-4a99-a058-0cd9c8b372dd Make, Accept, Implement 5216991a-bee9-48a4-827e-debe14e5814d deb58e33-9206-45df-ba1f-530ef5e80a25 Recommendations Made Number State Energy Advisory Board Department of Energy Unspecified n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 Within just the last 5 years the Board has submitted 12 Resolutions to DOE for consideration and adoption. 26 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2c7473a1-dfb1-465c-b312-43fdc6a8ce0f Recommendations Fully Accepted Percentage State Energy Advisory Board Department of Energy For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 Specifically, in FY 2011 the STEAB worked closely with DOE and USDA to make progress specifically on Resolution 10-01 which recommended DOE initiate an active dialogue with USDA to establish formal agreements among EERE, Cooperative Extension Service and the State Energy Offices to enhance the education of American citizens regarding energy efficiency and renewable energy. The end result would be a broader-scale adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency practices. STEAB would serve as the national convener for the dialogue necessary to establish these agreements and facilitate the exchange of information among DOE, the CES and SEOs that will be necessary for these collaborative efforts to succeed. STEAB would also collect and provide DOE with success stories from these efforts. EERE approved of this potential partnership and encouraged STEAB to convene meetings to begin discussing interest on behalf of USDA and DOE in moving forward with this partnership, and explore the opportunitty for an MOU or formal agreement between the two agencies. 15 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 292538bb-e71e-4102-949f-31b2eb7683ed Recommendations Partially Accepted Percentage State Energy Advisory Board Department of Energy There are sometimes a few proposals which were not funded in their entirety, those few being scaled back from their original level of requested funding (allowable under the program). n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 Unable to determine at this juncture. 0 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2013-07-09 http://explore.data.gov/resource/datasets/c5i3-bb9j Gannon (J.)
