Periodic reviews of the diverse elements of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's (EERE) research, development, demonstration, and deployment portfolio including energy efficiency programs (e.g., buildings, industrial, vehicles, etc.), renewable energy programs (e.g., solar, wind, biomass, etc.), and crosscutting activities (e.g., analysis, policy and deployment, work force development). The Committee provides:• Advice on competing long-range plans, priorities, and strategies to support EERE's mission. • Advice on appropriate levels of funding to develop those plans, priorities and strategies, to help maintain an appropriate balance between competing elements of the EERE programs. • Advice on specific issues of concern to DOE as requested by the Secretary of Energy or the Assistant Secretary for EERE. 62586dae-c1bc-4ee9-b476-f1d222ec58e2 The Committee will be responsible for the overarching topic of EERE Strategy and Management, providing advice on: the EERE strategy; program prioritization and linkages within EERE; staffing and management; engagement outside EERE including other parts of DOE, other governmental agencies, industry, universities, labs, and other stakeholders; and overall EERE leadership. To facilitate the functioning of the Committee, subcommittees may be formed with DOE approval. The objectives of the Subcommittees are to make recommendations to the parent Committee with respect to particular matters related to the responsibilities of the parent Committee. Such Subcommittees or workgroups may not work independently of the chartered Committee and must report their recommendations and advice to the full Committee for full deliberations and discussion. 52cbaaf6-590d-4b88-9cf3-1fa2751814fb Recommandations The Efficiency and Renewables Advisory Committee was created to augment the efforts of EERE and ensure EERE/DOE supports the research development and demonstration of transformative energy technologies. Specifically, the Committee was created to provide advice regarding all aspects of EERE’s policy and programmatic portfolio. The views and opinions of ERAC's expert and representative members are invaluable to DOE. The knowledge and expertise of the Committee's members are are not available within DOE, and cannot be provided more cost effectively by any other means. 3133bc74-d089-40a6-b1be-8f60fdcc5431 Make, Accept, Implement 4f6ea481-710a-409e-8199-939938629ee8 0217a2d5-0446-4934-a746-7f5e598ec885 Recommendations Made Number Efficiency and Renewables Advisory Committee Department of Energy Unspecified n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 0 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 1f0b6b5a-5b64-406e-879e-f51c9375fae2 Recommendations Fully Accepted Percentage Efficiency and Renewables Advisory Committee Department of Energy For a variety of its own reasons not applicable to the Committee, the agency may implement all/most of the recommendations, but few times recommendations are not implemented. n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 N/A - As a newly formed Committee there are no recommendations to date. 0 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 db2c4157-7f12-4cb3-9672-2050bebe28a7 Recommendations Partially Accepted Percentage Efficiency and Renewables Advisory Committee Department of Energy There are sometimes a few proposals which were not funded in their entirety, those few being scaled back from their original level of requested funding (allowable under the program). n/a 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 N/A - As a newly formed Committee there are no recommendations to date. 0 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2010-10-01 2011-09-30 2013-07-09 http://explore.data.gov/resource/datasets/c5i3-bb9j Gannon (J.)
