    • a standards committee with representative from a wide spectrum of information sharing authors, producers, aggregators, distributors, industries, governments, organizations, and users, to efficiently and urgently specify universal information sharing entitlement standards to help resolve issues that plague our economy and society, as well as to support generations of productive information economy.

    Information sharing and access management is required by a whole range of applications, from computer desktop file management to international information exchanges. The current lack of standards comes at a great price: the uncertainty as to whether a system is truly secure. This doubt leads to vast sums being spent in upgrading and testing in an attempt to reach the all-too-elusive goal of controlled protection. Standards, IT or other, have proved to be the only way to build upon past experiences. In today's global community, entitlement standards are a must.
